Volunteers Make a Difference
Your opportunity to bless and to be blessed is waiting…
Join our 500+ volunteers who work with and support people living with disabilities.
Many of our volunteer opportunities are on the Eastside – at our Meyer Medical Equipment Center and administrative offices in Bellevue, but there are also volunteer opportunities at events hosted by area churches all over King County, and visiting our guardianship clients who live throughout the Greater Seattle area.
Our volunteers come as individuals and groups, are people of all faiths, creeds, philosophies, backgrounds and abilities. And at Bridge, age is just a number. So if you’re interested in learning more about volunteering with Bridge, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Current volunteer needs and job details are posted at Volunteer Match.
Ongoing volunteer opportunities include:
Help fix equipment: We need volunteers in our Medical Equipment Center to help repair and refurbish used wheelchairs, walkers, etc. If your idea of heaven is tinkering in the shop, we need you!
Office assistant: Help staff with calls, emails, filing, event planning, etc. We are looking for people who can make an ongoing commitment of time, preferably at least once a week. Great experience for your resume.
Event helpers: We need table hosts, singers/entertainers, sign language interpreters, photographers, set-up/clean-up, and people to meet & greet Access vans. Come one time or once a month.
There are many other ways volunteers can help us. If you don’t see a volunteer opportunity listed that strikes your fancy, just contact us to discuss where your interests, skills and abilities meet our volunteer needs.
