Let’s Celebrate!
Disability of any kind can cause a person to feel isolated and alone. Human beings, created in God’s image, were meant to dwell and thrive together. It has been an important part of Bridge’s mission to bring together both those with disabilities and those without to enjoy one another’s company and appreciate the uniqueness of every individual.
We do this through such planned activities as the Roots and Wings Bible Study, the Adult Disability Group and through our monthly Sunday Evening Celebrations. These Celebrations are packed with fun, food and fellowship. We love to make crafts, sing songs, play bells and games and just hang out together.
Life should be celebrated! Everyone should be loved and appreciated for who they are. And this must begin with each of us reaching out to others to create a family of friends for life. If you are there, we celebrate your presence! If you are not, we miss you! That’s what makes us family.
Psalm 139 says, “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” This is how we should see every person who comes through the doors for a time of celebration together. Won’t you join us in this celebration of life?
