Have You Met Our Resident Superhero? A Smile Story

A few days ago, a son walked into Bridge’s Meyer Medical Equipment Center with one mission: find the perfect power wheelchair for his mom, who was receiving care at Harborview and getting ready to head home to Pasco.

Enter Roy — our resident electric-wheelchair wizard and an absolute fixture here at Bridge. As always, Roy knew exactly which chair would be just right for her. It needed new batteries and the joystick moved to the other side… easy, right? Well, what was supposed to be a quick two-hour job turned into a full-on mechanical acrobatics act.

But a commitment is a commitment — and Roy doesn’t back down.

After some extra elbow grease (and maybe a few head-scratch moments), Roy got that chair fully powered, perfectly configured, and ready to roll. And just in time! The son was able to pick it up before his mom was discharged, making her trip home to Pasco, WA safe and smooth. ❤️

Roy is a superhero. Cape or no cape.
