Summer Art Contest

July 21, 2025 11:56 am Published by

Calling all artists! From now until August 25th, we are accepting art submissions for our first annual Summer Art Contest. Winning art pieces will be showcased in our 2026 Calendar, which will be given to all winners and anyone who donates $100 or more during our End-of-Year campaign (more information on that later!).

If the artist allows, these art pieces will also be donated to Bridge Disability Ministries to be auctioned at the 2025 Building Bridges Dinner & Auction.

All winners agree to allowing Bridge Disability Ministries’s use of the image of their artwork for future marketing purposes.

Accepted works: Any/all media.

Method of submission: Please send an image via email (jpeg/png/tiff – whatever fits in the email) to events@bridgemin.org with the subject line, “Bridge Summer Art Contest Submission.”

Please include the following information in your email:

  • Artist Real Name
  • Artist Preferred/Display Name (if different from Real Name)
  • Artist Location (City, State)
  • Art Media Used
  • Art Piece Title
  • Art Piece Description
  • Art Piece Date of Creation/Completion

Deadline to submit: Monday, August 25, 2025 at 11:59PM.

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

Is there a specific theme? No, however, we do appreciate anything which embodies our organization’s values of inclusion, support, and community! Extra brownie points if your art piece happens to match this year’s Building Bridges Dinner & Auction theme: Illuminate Hope.

Do I have to be local to submit? No, you do not have to be local, but should your art piece be chosen, you will need to send your art piece to us at your cost. We will not be able to cover the cost of shipping.

Do you accept 3D pieces? Yes! If your art piece is chosen, you will need to bring your art piece to the Bridge Disability Ministries office so that we can take a photo of the art piece to be displayed in the 2026 Calendar. If you decide to decline from donating your piece to the Building Bridges Dinner & Auction, you will need to make arrangements to pick up your art piece from our office once we are done taking photos of your art piece.

I am submitting a digital art piece. How will it be auctioned? If your digital art piece is chosen, we will have it printed and mounted professionally to be properly displayed during the auction.

My art was chosen! What do I do next? You will receive an email from us congratulating you with your chosen art piece. In that email, we will send you detailed instructions. If your art piece is digital, we require that you then send us a high resolution version (at least 300 dpi; dimensions of at least 8.5″ x 11″). Again, we will be sure to send you an email with all of the necessary next steps!
