Need to Get Used Equipment
If you need help obtaining medical equipment, our Meyer Medical Equipment Center has used equipment available. When you no longer need it, return the equipment to us so that we can make it available to someone else who may need it.
All used equipment is cleaned and inspected. Each item has a suggested donation amount to help cover our costs.
Visiting our Meyer Medical Equipment Center
Mobility and medical equipment is in high demand, so not all items are available at all times. Review what you need on our Equipment Types page before you make a special trip to Bridge.
When you come in, our staff will work with you personally to find what you need or get you on a waiting list if the item is not available.
We are open 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Monday – Thursday and 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday to help people get medical equipment and to receive equipment donations.
We are closed weekends.
Everyone Who Needs Equipment is Eligible
Anyone who needs it can get equipment from us. There are no income or other eligibility requirements. We do have some simple paperwork for you or a friend or family member to fill out.
Electric wheelchairs and power scooters have a medical pre‐authorization requirement.
Fitting and Picking Up Equipment
Staff and volunteers can assist you in loading equipment . We have ramps for larger pieces of equipment.
Some equipment requires extra time to fit it to your needs. We may schedule an appointment with you so we can serve you better.
Not all items are available at all times. Our Equipment Types page shows what equipment we may have, and provides a form for requesting more specialized equipment.
We cannot maintain a real-time inventory of available equipment.
Costs & Suggested Donations
We have a suggested donation for all our medical equipment. The donation helps us cover our costs so that we can continue to provide services for those who are unable to pay. The Meyer Medical Equipment Center is made possible only from donations of time and money.
The amount we ask is a suggestion. Some people give more and some give less. Those who can afford to give are, in effect, “paying it forward” for those who are in difficult circumstances.
We do not turn anyone away due to inability to give the suggested donation amount.
How to Make a Donation
You can make a donation with cash, check or credit/debit card. We do not accept medical insurance.
We hope you can support our ministry by making a donation. Your money helps pay the costs of cleaning, repairing, storing, and “re-homing” used medical equipment.
Maintaining and Returning Equipment
You are responsible for proper operation and maintenance of your item, such as new batteries and safe storage of your equipment.
You can use your equipment for as long as you need it. We ask that you return it to us promptly when you are finished using it – continuing the cycle of donations and helping others. One piece of equipment can be used to help as many as four people per year.
