Joyful Voices-Chad Guse
Chad Guse* wrote the song, “Farewell Hymn”, for his home church, Pine Lake Covenant Church for a farewell celebration of a pastor heading to another state to be close to family. The pastor enjoyed songs from the 4-piece Covenant Hymnal. When Chad was given an opportunity to make a video of this song, he decided, “Let’s write an instrumental hymnal with a traditional sound”. That is how “Farewell Hymn” came to be written.
Chad Guse is a pianist, composer, and arranger and has been performing at Bridge events since 2017. He loves making joyful connections through music and communication with all our friends who attend these events. He has performed popular instrumental melodies, in a variety of genres such as rom jazz, ragtime, stride, country, rock n roll, gospel, pop, bossa nova, and many more. And we love it when he takes song requests and leads us in sing-a-longs as well.
Chad shares, “While I play popular tunes, I also have a composer side too. Every song I write on the piano, every melody I hum, and every chord structure comes from the glory of the Lord.”
