So, what are you good at?

Calling all cooks and knitters and carpenters and crafters and more!

You can use your obsession with baking, talent for woodworking, or skills as a gardener to make our community a more accessible place by donating a service to the Building Bridges Dinner & Auction!

So, what are you good at?

There are lots of great ways to turn your passion into an auction item that can help raise funds to support people with disabilities.

Are you…

  • A cleaner of mean machines? – Offer to come by to wash and detail the winning bidder’s vehicle, either as a one-time event or a every-other-month package.
  • A skilled home chef? – Create a monthly make-your-own meal package, with pre-prepped ingredients and instructions; cater a special dinner for the winning bidder and a small group of friends; or offer a class on pasta making, canning, or baking the perfect chocolate cake.
  • A talented tailor? – Put together a package of repairs or alterations to keep the winning bidder looking sharp, or offer to make the winning bidder’s Halloween costume or cosplay dreams come true!
  • A keen knitter? – Offer a custom sweater or cozy afghan, or donate a beginner’s kit, with needles, row markers, a stitch counter, etc, and pair it with lessons to help a novice stitcher learn their worsted from their whipstitch.

Let us know!

We can’t wait to hear about your skill, special interest, or area of expertise! If you have a service or item to offer, please fill out our procurement form and email it to our development assistant, Sigrid.

Thank you

Whether you donate an item, attend the Building Bridges Dinner and Auction, or just share the event with your friends, we value your support. Our donors have put medical equipment into the hands of people who need it, allowed us to advocate for vulnerable adults during a time of crisis and upheaval, and made it possible for us to get messages of care to our Friends in isolation. Thank you for your continued support, we couldn’t continue our work without you.
